My client a leading Distributor within the FMCG marketplace are looking for a driven ambitious Demand Planner to join the Team. They have a highly impressive brand portfolio; several of their brands are Number 1 in their own sector!   (Not just in Ireland but in the global market) and due to a recent re-structure; are looking for a personable Demand Planner who will fit in with the team and culture.

** For this role, you must have between 1-3 years Demand Planner experience, and it would be highly advantageous if you have worked in/ experience in the FMCG Sector **

 

Why this role and why the Company

The culture in the company one of collaboration. The people are the big sell! Of Course, it has been a challenging time working in a Demand Planner/ Supply Chain role during Covid, but there have been recent green shoots and they plan to be back in the office by September and they all help one another out. For this role, you must be strong on the numbers and forecasting and you will obtain experience with Navision and get to work on some big Blue- chip Brands. (You must be comfortable with Excel – this is a must in terms of requirements)

 

Responsibilities

Planning

  • Develop, analyse & communicate item level forecasts @ weekly, monthly and quarterly levels within required timeframes.
  • Gather key data/insights to build forecast, identifying & analyzing trends and influencing variables and incorporate in forecasting model, whilst aligning forecast assumptions with key stakeholders, tracking assumptions and adapting forecast to the market dynamic
  • Anticipate forecast changes impact to stock and proactively communicate changes to key SC partners and Supply Points.
  • Accountable for forecast accuracy for each portfolio.
  • Liaise with wider Supply Chain team with regard to stock issues, NPDs etc.

S&OP Process

  • Build a strong collaborative relationship with key stakeholders to drive the Demand Planning process.
  • Support Demand Manager in leading & chairing process by preparing and presenting forecasts, risks/opportunities for relevant meetings.

 

Administration

  • Responsible for timely reporting of relevant weekly/monthly KPI reports

Responsible for data integrity for all DP activity; including life cycle management, NPD

Internal Stakeholders

  • Internal Stakeholders include all topline functions, Brand Managers, Account Managers, Financial Planning, Supply and Inventory.

External Stakeholders include Global Ops, Supply Points, and Distributors

External Stakeholders include Ops, Supply Points, Distributors and Finance.

Experience required

  • Detail oriented with strong analytical and quantitative skills.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Powerpoint
  • 1-2 years’ experience in a Supply Chain function preferable.
  • Knowledge of  Navision advantageous, but not essential.
  • Excellent communication skills, ability to lead and influence across all functions and levels.
