Job Title: Data Privacy Solicitor

Location: Dublin, Ireland
Experience Level: 2 years post-qualification experience (PQE)
Key Responsibilities:
- Advising clients: Provide pragmatic advice to a range of clients on data privacy compliance, including GDPR, ePrivacy regulations, and Irish data protection legislation.
- Drafting & Reviewing: Draft and review privacy notices, data processing agreements, data protection policies, internal procedures, and other legal documentation.
- Incident Response: Assist with data breach investigations, notifications, and manage regulatory communication.
- Data Subject Requests: Advise on and facilitate responses to data subject access requests (DSARs), rectification requests, and other individual rights requests.
- Data Mapping & DPIAs: Conduct data mapping exercises and assist with Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs).
- Training & Awareness: Develop and deliver internal and client-facing training sessions on data privacy matters.
- Stay Current: Keep up-to-date on evolving data privacy laws, regulations, and industry best practices.
Required Qualifications:
- Qualified solicitor in Ireland with at least 2 years of PQE in data protection and privacy law.
- In-depth knowledge of GDPR, Irish Data Protection legislation, and relevant case law.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
Desirable Attributes:
- Experience advising technology, media, or e-commerce clients.
- CIPP/E (Certified Information Privacy Professional/Europe) or other relevant privacy certifications.
- Demonstrated interest in emerging privacy issues (e.g., AI, international data transfers).
- Experience in a mid-tier or international law firm.
