A leading Irish law firm is seeking a Professional Support Lawyer (Knowledge) for its Projects, Infrastructure & Energy group. This is a unique hybrid role combining knowledge management, training and professional support with a portion of fee-earning work. The successful candidate will work across construction and engineering, public procurement, energy and natural resources, planning and environment, housing and ESG — providing know-how, training and technical support across the full group rather than a single team.
Key responsibilities:
– Develop and maintain the group’s know-how: precedents, standard-form documents, drafting notes, checklists, practice notes and template advice
– Monitor and analyse legislative, regulatory and case-law developments (Irish and EU) and translate into practical guidance for fee earners
– Design and deliver internal training, updates and briefings; contribute to the firm’s CPD programme
– Support junior fee earners through guidance and informal mentoring
– Carry a defined, manageable fee-earning caseload working alongside partners
Essential requirements:
– Qualified solicitor (Republic of Ireland) with relevant post-qualification experience in construction, engineering, procurement, energy, planning and environment, or housing
– Strong technical knowledge and ability to research and distil complex legal and regulatory material
– Excellent drafting skills and a high standard of attention to detail
– Strong written and verbal communication with confidence to present and train at all levels
Location: Dublin | Full-time, permanent (hybrid)
