At Manager level you will work across a diverse portfolio spanning disruptive Fintech startups through to established Life Sciences multinationals. No two engagements are the same, and the 2026 legislative landscape adds a layer of complexity that rewards professionals who stay sharp and curious.
What the role involves
- Managing R&D tax engagements across technology, engineering and life sciences clients
- Conducting in-depth interviews with technical leads and R&D project teams to identify qualifying activities and costs
- Drafting high-quality technical reports articulating scientific uncertainty, systematic investigation and eligible expenditure
- Calculating and optimising eligible R&D expenditure in line with 2026 legislative guidelines
- Maintaining compliance standards and managing client relationships day-to-day
- Supporting the development of junior team members
What you need
- 3–5 years' R&D tax experience
- A background in Engineering, Science, Computer Science or a related discipline is highly valued alongside tax qualifications
- Strong report writing and analytical skills
- Comfortable engaging directly with technical experts across disciplines
- CTA qualification (or in progress) is an advantage
The reward
