My Client  are a well-established Retail Organisation who operate within the home improvement solutions space and due to continued growth , are now looking for a  Supply Chain and Operations Lead to join the Team. My Client has been in operation for over 30 years and operate across indoor; outdoor and roofing categories and have an established name within the Trade. Their offices are based in North Dublin close to the Airport and you will be expected to be in the office / warehouse for 3-4 days a week.
Purpose of the role
This role will sit in the Supply Chain and Ops function and will involve managing a team of  9- 10 Warehouse operatives – ( who are a good solid team) and you will have a Warehouse Supervisor assisting you on the management piece and a key aspect is to improve ways of working ; to implement more efficient processes and you will play a vital role in delivering clear communication to not just the Team but various stakeholders.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• To Build strong working relationships with the sales ; procurement and delivery teams and some external partners..
 • To lead- with the assistance of the Warehouse Supervisor- a team of engaged Warehouse operatives who are keen to learn.
• To spot errors like mispicks, input of wrong data and to improve customer service and to identify gaps for opportunities  to drive extra revenue
•To lead both through people and the system ( WSM) with the ultimate aim of improving ways of working ; saving time and bringing clarity to the Team.
 • Support the overall Ops functions and cross functional colleagues when required
• Engaging in ad-hoc tasks and analysis when required and to attend business meetings ( generally take place on a Friday)

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
• Demand/Supply planning experience required preferably in FMCG/ Building suppliers area or another fast-paced environment
• Highly proficient in Excel and excellent verbal and written communication skills are a must- people management experience is highly desirable.
