AMICUS RECRUITMENT has a fantastic opportunity for a Supply Chain Co-Coordinator to join an Organisation has a reputable name within the Industrial sector. Very easy of me to say it is an excellent opportunity, but it truly is !

My Client; based in Dublin West; is a leading B2B organisation and prides themselves on their delivery and customer relationships They have an established customer base in the Irish market and are continuing to expand in the UK. In the last couple of years and due to their partnership with their customer base; turnover has steadily increased and so too have staff numbers growing from 20 staff to over 45 employees in the last 6 years – a real sign of growth and success

The Role

I had a really good meeting with the Hiring Manager who is a lady ; very personable; genuine manner. She gave me an hour of her time and puts a lot of faith and trust in her staff. I did ask the Supply Chain Manager what a typical day/ week and she highlighted that Tuesday- Thursday are V.M.I. Replenishment days – working on replenishment orders come in from their V.M.I. locations ; work on excel uploads- they use an E.R.P. system called Intact. You will be analyzing PO’s; check products going out; place orders with suppliers- (suppliers are all over the world and according to the Supply Chain Manager; generally good to work with) .

It is a very busy and diverse role but the fantastic element to it is that it is a genuine and tight knit team who work together. You will be responsible for stock reviews ; product availability ; pricing and quotations whilst working closely with Operations ; the Warehouse team and an excellent Account Manager who knows the Account and Business inside out!

She strikes me as someone who will support you and she was effusive in her praise of her team ; employees in the company- she sits on the Senior Management team but there are certainly no airs of graces about her- she said “Denis I really like it here- people generally stay; and there are no ego’s; the Managing Director- leads from the front and will chat with anyone and everyone supports each other.”

Key Responsibilities

  • Update supplier confirmations and Monitor outstanding order reports
  • Expedite overdue deliveries and Report supply issues to all interested parties
  • Receipt of purchase orders onto system and allocations to back orders and Raise and monitor Supplier Discrepancies.
  • Book freight collections; work on quotations; PO’s and liaise with both supplier and the various stakeholders
  • Provide a timely and high level of service to Interested Parties, including External and Internal sales teams, Stores personnel, etc, in respect of related queries and updates such as: Product availability; Pricing Supplier product recommendations and Stock discrepancies
  • Responsible for the following but not confined too : Indirect Quotations and Orders; Purchase Order placements; Purchase Order Confirmations, follow up and Receipts and Consignment stock

Key Requirements:

Microsoft Office Skills – good working knowledge of Excel essential.

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. .

Highly motivated and positive attitude is essential.

Motivated to take on projects and see through to completion.

A flexible approach and high customer service ethic is important.

Ability to demonstrate good multi taking skills, with the ability to prioritise takes and complete on a timely basis. Also a willingness to be able to work to time sensitive deadlines is essential.

Ability to create good working relationships with all company suppliers.

Ability to work individually, as part of the supply chain team and also with other departments within the organization.
