Solicitor – Contract Specialist

This new role based in Dublin is a permanent role for an experienced solicitor with strong contract drafting experience.

This role presents an opportunity to gain exposure to international markets and cross jurisdictional commercial agreements in a pleasant team-based environment.

Key responsibilities:

  • Review variety of cross-border contracts and agreements (insurance contracts, intermediary contracts, reinsurance contracts as well as HR, IT and other agreements with external parties)
  • Draft agreements as and when required and periodically review and update standard contract templates
  • Support business units in negotiation of contracts directly with clients, brokers and other third parties
  • Provide advice on existing and future contract arrangements
  • Implement / update contract management processes as required
  • Review of contractual issues raised as part of tender process
  • Completion of research of laws of the jurisdictions of operation
  • Review of marketing material and policy documents;
  • Product development advice (legal and regulatory)
  • Provide advice on new projects and new products
  • Review of product terms and conditions
  • Provision of support to senior management

Experience Required

  • Qualified lawyer with minimum 2-3 years PQE
  • Legal experience in another EU Member State desirable
  • Experience in an in-house legal role required. Experience in a similar industry (insurance /reinsurance) desirable
  • Exposure to cross border regulatory environment
  • Excellent written English required
  • Fluency in Spanish or another European language an advantage
