From humble beginnings my client ; an Irish owned Family Business has grown substantially over the last 10- 15 years and sales have increased year on year for the last 7 years. Their brands and product portfolio can be seen dotted around the Irish marketplace- ( with a presence in the Airport; big blue chip companies and the international marketplace.) Altogether they have 250 staff in various locations with 25 in Head office in North Dublin.

** My Client are a great l example of a good news Irish success story. ** and due to continued growth ; are looking for a Sales Representative to sell in to the Foodservice sector ( Hotels; pubs; Restaurants etc..) They have a presence in the sector but the Operations Manager is looking for someone to own it and make it a success !! This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious; hardworking Sales professional to take ownership; drive Revenue for the Group and make strong commission and hopefully enjoy it !-( there is a vibrant atmosphere in the company and a real feel good factor)

Some of the staff have been there over 20 years and know the Sector and Business inside out- Trust me ! having been out for a client visit and meeting with the Managing Director and Operations Manager ( both are humble and down to earth) ; there is no red tape ; layers and there is a great rapport and genuine feel within the company- people work hard and enjoy it too ! They have won numerous awards in their sector and have really nice offices n North Dublin with a well – run Warehouse Operation.

The objective of this role will be to drive sales for the group but you must be prepared to be flexible; adaptable and according to the Operations Manager ” you have to be prepared to work with Head Chef;s through to Head office so ability to adapt to a customer’s needs is important. Listening to our customers and their requirements and building the relationships aa well as persistence and resilience are key traits to success. I want this candidate to take ownership and I will be there to guide; assist this person in any way I can to make him./ her a success.”

The role comes with a base salary; attractive bonus- ( Targets will depend on what the candidate can bring to the position) Phone; Laptop; and Car Allowance.

Duties Include:

  • Build strong trading relationships within all Accounts.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of your territory and to build on existing relationships and to develop new ones.
  • Distribution of Company’s Brands and products within all Accounts in the Foodservices sector.
  • The number one sales priority will be to ensure that you have the right range on the right shelf at the right price for key brands across the region.
  • Manage, expand and develop the customer call file across the region.
  • Introducing New Products not already listed within all accounts.
  • Liase closely with Team in the office as well as the Warehouse Function.

Experience and Required Traits:

  • A proven track record in sales ( minimum 2-3 years’ experience) and you must have sold in to the Foodservices sector ( pubs; restaurants; hotel groups)
  • Strong negotiation and commercial skills are essential.
  • You should have a strong customer focus and be able to maintain a high level of productivity in all aspects of the role.
  • To listen to the customer requirements
  • Prepared to adapt to a customer’s needs and style.
