My Client is a leading name in the freight sector and due to continued growth; are looking to recruit a Sales Administrator to join the team. This is a diverse and challenging role and the successful candidate will work as part of a supportive and solid team.

This is a very busy role – a typical day will involve working on pricing; quotations; reports ; inputting data whilst liaising with customers over the phone and by email. Due to time zones and working with teams based in various international markets; the morning can be a particular busy time of the day and October- February can be a particular busy time of year.

For this position; you must be calm under pressure; strong on calculations and numbers but in return; you will obtain fantastic exposure to the international freight sector ; work with some iconic customers in the Shipping and Aviation sector and you will get to work with various areas of the Business. Job Responsibilities

  • Collate rates, prepare quotations and follow up with customers and prospects.
  • Process bookings and liaise with customers.
  • Liaise with internal departments and external suppliers.
  • Assist with the preparation of written proposals, tenders and presentations.
  • Maintain rate sheets, databases and CRM systems and assist with sales campaigns and events.
  • Prospect for and qualify new leads and General administration to ensure the efficiency of the department.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a busy sales support or administration position within the freight forwarding industry is essential.
  • Essential skills: numeracy, organisation, time management, attentive to details and fluency in English – written and oral.
  • Customer oriented with excellent interpersonal and communications skills.
  • Computer skills including MS Word, Excel and Power Point.
  • Good problem-solving skills and willingness to use initiative.
  • Team player working within a small, close-knit team.
