Amicus Recruitment has an excellent opportunity for a National Account Manager- Foodservices with a leading FMCG Organisation. The Sales Manager for the Irish operation is an absolute gent with very strong FMCG experience and I recently placed a candidate in the Business who is thoroughly enjoying the position. My client has license to sell some of the most established brands in the marketplace; last year was extremely successful and they have strong growth plans for the year ahead.

This is a great opportunity- easy to say that but this really is ! ( Over the last 2 years; its one of the best in FMCG marketplace within the Food services sector) in this role, you must ideally have the Foodservices experience/ contacts ( liaising with Aramark; Sodexho etc ) and they are looking for a strong NAM- because it’s fresh you have to be quick on calculating margin; customer relationships; working with the buyers ( easier said than done !) execution ; planning and meeting deadlines. It is an exciting time for my client as they are looking to move offices and with strong growth plans in the pipeline; along with a new team and NPD- you will be joining at a great time !

You will also be working closely with the UK office but let me emphasise and in the words of the Sales Manager for Ireland- “Denis there is no red tape; you can get sign off quite quickly and be given the autonomy and responsibility to deliver in the role.”

Role Responsibilities:

  • To develop a sales strategy to deliver on KPI’s and successful product launches in the key accounts.
  • Timely sales forecasting and forecast accuracy and be responsible for all JBP’s.
  • Develop excellent relationships with your customers within the Foodservices sector.
  • Build strong relationships with a breadth of customer contacts
  • Manage budget spend
  • Evaluate all promotions and update promotional strategy
  • Liaise with other functions ( i.e Processing; Finance, NPD ,Planning etc)
  • Effectively track performance, including NPD launches and promotions
  • Provide timely insight & recommendations

Key Experience and Skills required:

  • Customer management & Foodservices experience will be essential
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Strong Commercial Acumen
  • Analytical skills and highly numerate
