AMICUS RECRUITMENT has a fantastic opportunity for a National Account Manager/ Controller within the FMCG/ Pharmacy Category. My Client has won numerous awards from specialists in their field and have grown in both turnover and employee numbers over the last 4 years. Their products are premium brands and from a Zoom Call with one of the Founders; she said the following ” Denis we have a solid business; a very strong team in place and very few people have left the Busines within the last couple of years ! Our brands are premium but have numerous awards and due to continued growth; we are looking for a proven National Account Manager who is strong on strategy; has proven management experience; can implement plans and drive further growth within the Grocery/ Retail and Pharmacy Sectors.”

It is important to note that this is a work from home role. My Client has offices in both Galway and Dublin but are very flexible on the successful candidates location.

Job Description

As per above; this person will expected to drive growth within the Grocery and Pharmacy sectors. You will have full support from the Founders and they already have a brand presence but from the call ” Denis I am looking to give this person a lot of autonomy- we have a great story to tell ! The successful candidate will be focused on developing relationships with key multiple retail and Pharmacy accounts. We will expect this person to work closely with us ( the Leadership Team ) on developing strategy ; and he/she will be tasked on delivering the commercial plans across a number of categories and brands- and cruially to manage a Distrbutor and a team of Sales Reps. This role will suit someone who is comfortable with autonomy ;ownership and can manage a team.”

Key Responsibilities

· Development of key account plans within the Multiple Retail and Pharamcy accounts

· Achievement of forecast and budget Revenue targets – both individually and for the team.

· Management of price promotions and other trade spend in line with Budgets for the Off Trade and work closely with both the Marketing and Design team.

· Developing and executing Joint Business Plan’s with Key Customers along with Trade Plans.

· Work in conjunction with commercial finance and trade marketing to develop promotional plans suitable to each customer while seeking to maximise profitability for the business

· Manage customers within the multiple retail/Wholesale and pharmacy channels.

· Ability to analyse complex data and present solutions that deliver results.

· Initiative to learn from previous executions, and be able to adapt and optimize future plans based on these learnings

· Be a leader within the team to support & develop key members to grow and develop.


· Extensive sales experience ideally within the FMCG and pharmacy sectors.

· Degree in a business related area. (Relevant experience may qualify).

· High level of commercial awareness.

· Strong communication and interpersonal skills

· Excellent relationship building & teamwork skills.

· Proven negotiation skills

· Planning and organising ability.

· Resilience & able to work on their own initiative
