Our client is an established organisation in the charities, education and disabilities sector and is seeking a marketing professional to shape their message, brand and social engagement moving forward.

This is a critical function at the beginning of a growth period for the organisation and the successful marketing professional will take ownership of the full remit of market engagement, working from an effective blank canvas.

The Role

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer and with a dotted-line to the Director of Advocacy, the Marketing Manager will be a member of the wider management team and will contribute both strategically and operationally to the overall success of the organisation by ensuring the Organisation has a strong, recognisable and engaging brand.

You will be required to establish organisational priorities at a strategic level and provide a results focused input into the organisation. The role will manage their branding and advertising across all channels including digital, web, radio, TV, public facing with a range of objectives relating to brand recognition, brand engagement and brand awareness.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Development and implementation of the Organisation’s marketing strategy in line with the Organisations strategic objectives.
  • Management of the Organisations marketing and advertising activity and expenditure ensuring value for money and maximising impact.
  • Responsible for building brand awareness amongst both disabled communities and also with the general public.
  • Responsible for delivering a significant improvement in both prompted and unprompted brand recognition
  • Responsible for the content and general website management, driving traffic and interaction
  • Management of the organisations social media including Facebook, YouTube, LinkedIn, blogs or vlogs and twitter – driving content and engagement to maximise recognition and loyalty among stakeholders
  • Assisting the CEO on the development and implementation of a PR strategy including advising the organisation during a crisis
  • Management of public facing campaigns. Working closely with internal stakeholder such as the Director o f Advocacy, the Fundraising Manager and the Assistive technology manager to deliver effective and impactful campaigns.
  • Managing relevant key external relationships and performance such as PR firms, ad agencies and media buyers.
  • Reporting on performance of all marketing activity and campaigns
  • Creation and publication of all marketing materials
  • Responsible for development and implementation of Brand guidelines

Personal Characteristics

  • Ability to work to own initiative and taking full responsibility for aspects of a project
  • Demonstrate ability to run projects around with tight timeframes and deadlines
  • Excellent planning and organisation skills, budgeting and projecting management skills.
  • Creative thinking and design skills, while keeping an eye on budgets and business guidelines / policies
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work across a range of teams
  • Strong reporting skills.
  • Proficient in outlook, excel, PowerPoint and related marketing software.

Education

  • Third level degree in marketing business or a similar discipline
  • 3 – 5 years’ experience in a similar role.
