Job Description

Our client is a is a leading tier 1 practise. Their Employment team assists and advises organisations in multiple market sectors on key employment relations and full employment management matters.

You will be conversant with key areas of employment law related documentation and have well honed skills to multitask effectively. Salary will depend on your experience but this firm offers salaries at the premium end of the market.

If you currently work in an employment law department then this role offers strong progression prospects within this growing department along with a more varied and interesting workload than commonly available even amongst the upper tier firms.


PA Experience

  • Experience of working as a Legal PA in a professional services/partnership environment
  • Experience within a litigation department
  • Experience of anticipating Partner/Fee Earner needs to deliver a pro-active PA service
  • An ability to deal discreetly with all tasks and activities in a professional and confidential manner
  • Experience of diary management including scheduling of meetings and organisation of all travel arrangements
  • Experience of professional and efficient management of client interaction

Technical Skills

  • Current working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Experience of using digital dictation systems such as Bighand
  • Experience of using time recording and invoicing systems such as Expert
  • Experience of matter inception and working with document management systems such as Filesite

Organisation Skills

  • Experience of professional and efficient management of client interaction
  • Experience of working as part of a team in the department of a professional services/partnership environment
  • An ability to proactively work as a team member balancing a range of disparate tasks and activities
  • Experience of managing a filing and archiving system within a busy professional department
  • Experience in the safe keeping and destruction of confidential information


  • Relevant Legal PA experience in a professional services/partnership environment
  • Microsoft Office Specialist qualification or similar evidence of relevant computer training is preferred but not essential
  • Relevant 3rd level qualification is preferred but not essential

Remuneration will be commensurate with experience.
