Legal Assistant

My client is a leading international biotechnology company with a focus on the discovery and development of treatments for a variety of critical diseases.

Based in South Co. Dublin, they are seeking to expand their team with the appointment of a legal assistant who will support the local Corporate Counsel to manage the growing legal needs of the organisation.

This is an exciting, broad and challenging role that would suit someone with a strong academic background and exposure to a transactional, governance, corporate or life science legal environment for at least 2 years.

Key Responsibilities

Supporting corporate-related activities, including by:

  • Assisting with the organization and preparation of materials for board meetings for all European subsidiaries
  • Assisting with maintaining statutory records and filing relevant documentation
  • Filing forms with the Irish Companies Registration Office
  • Assisting with the establishment of and governance activities for the European subsidiaries
  • Legal research
  • Co-ordinating execution, notarization and legalization of contracts and legal documents

Supporting intellectual property-related activities, including by:

  • Organizing, copying, filing and retrieving patent-related documents and files
  • Monitoring and filing e-mail and answering and/or routing inquiries from external legal counsel
  • Coordinating execution of documents
  • Preparing patent-related documents and entering patent-related data

Providing other administrative and clerical support, including by:

  • Organizing, copying, filing and retrieving documents and files
  • Preparing documents and entering data

Person Specification

You will be naturally creative and demonstrate initiative and an ability to make a difference in the work place.

You will have a strong academic background ideally in law or a related field

You will be a team player and someone who can add value in a fast-paced environment

You will also demonstrate the following:
