My client is one of the top global FMCG organisations with offices worldwide and has some of the best iconic brands in the marketplace. Due to some movement within the team, they are now looking to recruit a proven Key Account Executive. This is one of the best opportunities out there for a Key Account Executive/ Analyst/ National Account Executive at the moment and I don’t say this lightly ! why you may ask ? – there are several reasons; the brands they have are iconic- many of which are in the Top 100 brands in the Foods/Drinks sector; exposure to working with the top Retailers and crucially ; the Manager you will report too- and the room for career progression- prove yourself and there is an opportunity to be promoted to National Account Manager!

My Client has state of the art offices in Dublin City Centre/ South but as nice as that is; they have a genuine collaborative atmosphere and culture . In this role; you will gain invaluable exposure to the overall Business as you will work with Senior management ; marketing ; supply chain and their Distributor. The big draw and sell to this role is the Manager you will report too. She has been with the Business for over 12 years- she is personable; fair, highly thought of by her team and the Business.

The Role:

This is an extremely varied and diverse role and as mentioned you will work across the Business and partner with their Distributor. You will be involved in analysing data; promotions; working on forecasting; submissions ; reports and strong commercial acumen and attention to detail is crucial as you will be in involved in working on P&L and JBP’s. As opposed to a typical day; it is more month by month as you will analyse performance; have activity / projects to work; be involved in stakeholder meetings in the middle of the month and then last week is driving revenue; are we on track? Potentially spotting new opportunities. ** Working well with others; being able to plan and prioritize and attention to detail are all key elements to success. You must also have a FMCG background and be comfortable with Excel and PowerPoint **

Key Accountabilities:

· Support the Channel Lead to deliver on target NSV, Trade Spend and P&L business shape

· Co pilot the delivery of the customer plan/Joint Business Plan with the Distributor to boost category growth, sales, customer market shares and margin.

· Support the Channel Lead at periodic and quarterly meetings to execute our KPI’s and lead elements of the meeting regarding specific execution focus

· Co pilot with the Channel Lead & Trade analyst to forecast, plan and submit all promo activities in line with Brand and customer execution. Record and track associated performance & spend in line with P&L shape commitments.

· Lead the Impulse Field Sales operation piece supporting the defined accounts reporting/tracking and execution.

· Lead a cross functional Activity Task Group to support in the delivery of all NPD and seasonal activities

· Own customer data management, ensure reporting and tracking to meet internal requirements

· Guarantee that customer requirements are accurately met for promotions, pricing, NPD and other data and work on submissions; reports.

· Collaborate with finance team to ensure accurate and up to date sales reports and activity tracking

· Bring insights from customer engagement to Customer Management ,Brand and Customer Marketing teams to drive best-in-class customer relationships

o Provide insights to cross functional teams to support the strategy for the category

o Track and chart account performance on monthly basis

Key Requirements

  • 2-3 years experience in a commercial role within the FMCG sector
  • Strong commercial acumen; ideally have worked on forecasting; numbers ; P&L
  • Ability to plan and prioritize and strong Excel and PowerPoint is a must.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and being able to work collaboratively with others.
