In House Tax Consultant

Job Description

An exciting opportunity for an experienced tax professional to gain in-house experience with a progressive Irish Company has come to the market. This role will provide the successful individual exposure to a number of different companies within the group and also to a variety of tax heads. The position will involve supporting the tax manager with tax projects and compliance whilst also aiding the development of a junior team member. This position is offered initially on a 2 year contract basis with a view to permanency.

The Person:

• Qualified Tax Professional (AITI / CTA)
• Accountancy qualification desirable but not essential (ACA | ACCA | CIMA)
• Minimum 1-2 years’ pqe is essential
• Tax experience either from big 4/top 20 or an industry tax department
• Exposure to a variety of tax heads ideal (Corporate Tax, PAYE)

The Role:

• Assist the Tax Manager to develop a highly effective and controlled function. This will involve mapping of robust tax processes for incorporation into the shared service structure
• Complete corporation tax returns and Forms 46G in line with internal and statutory deadlines
• Provide accurate tax advise to internal business units as required
• Support the Tax Manager to undertake reviews of revenue streams and other matters to ensure tax compliance within the group
• Actively participate in the Performance Management process
