Financial Planning Analyst
A market leading Multinational currently has an opening for a financial planning analyst to join their finance department. This organisation has experienced double digit growth in recent years and is a major employer in the Irish market. They continue to expand rapidly and this position offers an excellent opportunity for an ambitious accountant to progress their skills and experience.
The Role:
- Timely and accurate preparation of monthly premium and expense forecasts
- Preparation, analysis and delivery of financial forecasts and the annual plan to Group
- Provide clear and concise results from data analysis to provide key insights on business performance
- Assist in the monitoring of expenses, including variance analysis against plan
- Contribute to the team’s role in driving and improving the quality of financial analysis provided to senior management
- Assist in the preparation of financial presentations to senior management, Board of Directors and Group
- Prepare ad-hoc reports to management
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of the financial forecasting capabilities of the team
- Maintain internal communication to facilitate an effective flow of information within the department
- This role will require regular travel (twice quarterly) to France (Paris).
The Person:
- Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or other recognised qualification)
- Part qualified accountants will be considered if possessing relevant work experience
- Fluent French is a must
- Ideally 2 years’+ pqe, experience in a financial services company or in Financial Services audit is desirable but not a pre-requisite
- Previous experience in a financial planning & controlling role is preferred
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- SAP experience (desirable but not a pre-requisite) and strong reconciliation experience
- Strong financial and analytical skills
- Strong interpersonal skills with ability to manage relationships both internally and externally
