AMICUS RECRUITMENT has an incredible; amazing opportunity within the FMCG sector. This is one of the most exciting opportunities in the FMCG marketplace- and no I am not over- selling it ! My Client has some of the most innovative; edgy brands and due to continued growth; are looking for a Senior National Account Manager/ Country Manager to take ownership; be responsible for the UK and Irish regions; sell their brands and drive success. ( This will be a work from home role with some international travel required.)

Within both the Foods and Drinks Category; my client has taken their individual categories by storm !My Client has successfully broken into various markets around the world; are disruptive; unapologetic and want someone who displays critical thinking turns analysis into planning and actions against channels and consumer opportunities.

I spent a good hour speaking with the Founders of the Business -With head offices in both North America and Holland; both guys work remotely. (They are both personable; happy to take any questions and gave me a good overview of the opportunity. They started from humble beginnings over 15 years ago and are now in over 30 markets around the world with some amazing on – trend brands) Both Founders are commercial; have high drive ; a lot of experience in various channels around the world and will give 100% support and investment for the right candidate.

On the Zoom Call; one of the Co-Founders highlighted the following important piece “Denis we want someone with that spark; we have an entrepreneurial spirit and I would like to see someone who has the same type of spirit and innovative thinking. I would like someone who can tell me what the UK and Irish market needs ; can work with the Senior buyers in the major Retailers; advantageous if they have exposure to the Convenience channel- 99% of what we do is in the Grocery off – Trade.

I want someone who has that energy; commercial acumen and can make it a success. We have a great story to tell; our brands are hugely popular with young Irish Consumers and we really think with the right person in place; we can make this a success. –

For this role, I am looking for someone who can drive sales; get distribution and product availability right and treat this role like it is their own Business. There is huge autonomy in this role and the successful candidate must be comfortable with that and in return; we will make ourselves available and they will have the support they need / or require to drive success.

** As you can tell from above; this is an amazing opportunity for the right person. For this role; you must have at least 6-9 years as a commercial NAM/ CBM within the Grocery channel- and ideally with a big blue-chip company on big brands within the FMCG sector. Responsibilities

  • Determine strategy, resources, and budget to achieve plan objectives for multiple territories / regions.
  • Delivery of sales forecast on time and accurately by sku.
  • Developing and executing Joint Business Plan’s with Key Customers.
  • Work in conjunction with commercial finance and trade marketing to develop promotional plans suitable to each customer while seeking to maximize profitability for the business
  • This is an opportunity to work closely and collaborate with distributor partners to build the business together by creating impactful programs, strategic pricing tactics and manage an activation budget.
  • Negotiate, design and execute regional promotional plan.
  • Full P&L responsibility for the specified region / territories.
  • Develop and achieve region sales performance targets.
  • Set expectations with key distributor personnel and monitor distribution, shipments, and other sales activities, conducting weekly progress checks of distributor performance.
  • Foster and leverage strong personal relationships with all levels of distributor and account management including ownership.
  • Provide an unrivaled quality of service to ensure the brands are front of mind with the accounts.
  • Deliver annual sales plan and manage the budget.

Qualifications

  • 7-10 experience as a National Account Manager/ Customer Business Manager within the FMCG sector.
  • Bachelors Degree.
  • Effective communication; interpersonal and negotiating skills.
  • Ability to influence and persuade others in order to manage business effectively.
  • Proven track record as a Commercial National Account Manager within the FMCG sector.
  • Effective understanding of budgeting creation and management.
