My Client is one of the leading multinationals with iconic brands within the FMCG sector and due to a change in structure, are now looking to recruit an ambitious Category Manager to join the team. In this position, you will be required to carry out a deep dive on brand and product performance, making recommendations that will drive business growth for the brands. It is a diverse and varied role and you must have the professionalism to handle autonomy; take ownership; get in buy from stakeholders – although demanding it is a great opportunity with a great company who have won numerous awards for their culture!

In this role, you will work with their Data providers, working on Projects to get a wider view of the Irish Consumer, trends and future challenges and opportunities so as a result you will obtain fantastic exposure- my client very much partner with the customer- as opposed to working for / with them.

Key Responsibilities

  • analysing market data and generating actionable insights in consumer behaviour.
  • Manage instore execution of planograms with 3rd party agencies.
  • Ability to work cross functionally with different team and engage stakeholders
  • Responsible for da sets such as Nielsen, Kantar and Dunnhumby to monitor the performance of Categories and Brands.
  • regularly present to both our Lead Team and external customers.
  • work with the Data providers on an ongoing basis, completing Projects to get a wider view of the Irish Consumer, trends and future challenges and opportunities.
  • Take data insights to ensure that range and layout in store meets customer needs and expectations; including completing a Gap analysis, range recommendations and building planograms using Spaceman.
  • Analyse post range reviews, instore execution of planograms with third party agencies and manage the tactical support budget

Key Requirements

  • 2-3 years’ experience either within category management or market research
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work cross functionally; meet deadlines and have a ‘can do’ attitude.
