Title: Audit Manager

Salary: €60,000 – €65,000

Location: South Dublin

Amicus have been engaged by a growing and established firm based in South Dublin to assist them recruit a commercially focused Audit and Accounts Manager. The firm has a large and varied client base covering both international and domestic clients.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing key client relationships to deliver a high-quality client experience, managing team work-plans and budgets and ensuring an excellent talent experience for a team of highly proficient professionals.

The Role:

  • Manage the day-to-day activities of the Audit and Accounts Department
  • Manage a portfolio of Audit and Account clients providing all round accounting services and advice
  • Responsible for overseeing Quality Assurance Audit Planning, ensuring plans appropriately address audit objectives
  • Lead and conduct team-oriented, department-wide reviews of audit working papers and be responsible for identifying and aggregating Quality Assurance Themes.
  • Oversee billing, collections, and profitability per assignment within the department.
  • Manage client company secretarial compliance
  • Supervision and development of staff within the department providing guidance on the application of tools and best practice methodologies.

The Person:

  • Qualified Accountant with several years’ post qualification experience
  • Number of years’ experience working and leading in a team environment
  • Track record in a mid-tier practice environment at manager level
  • Will be technically and professionally qualified including knowledge of FRS100 to FRS102 and IFRS
  • A strong understanding of risks and controls
  • Practical audit experience, such as conducting risk assessments, creating and executing audit programs, executing and/or leading audits via appropriate use of technology, tools, guidance and methodology
  • Will be bringing solutions to table and resolving issues with clients including fee negotiation and cash collection
  • Time management, work in progress management, delegation, use of initiative, excellent communication and assertiveness are skills required for this level of management
  • Coaching members of the team and reviewing work accordingly
